Northrop & Johnson has announced a new partnership with the superyacht division of Turkish yard Sirena Yachts. Revealed during this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the brokerage firm will serve as the exclusive representative for the sale of the Sirena 42M model within the Americas.
Construction of the first 42-metre superyacht is set to begin in soon, representing the initial unit in a series comprising 35 to 50-metre models. According to the yard, the future flagship was envisioned as a “waterborne dream home”, with design owing to Luca Vallebona, Hot Lab and Van Oossanen Naval Architects.
Daniel Ziriakus, president of Northrop & Johnson, said that partnering with Sirena Yachts on the 42M model represented a “significant step” for both parties, with the aim of setting new standards in luxury and design. “This collaboration represents a fusion of both vision and expertise, bringing together two strong teams with the aim to redefine the very essence of elegance and innovation in the 40-metre plus sector,” he explained.
“We are not only excited about the upcoming construction of the 42M model but also very pleased to collaborate with such a distinguished team for the yacht’s sale,” said Sirena Yachts CEO Cagin Genc. “This partnership offers a fantastic opportunity for our shipyard to promote this market-shaker design. It also presents an excellent opportunity for a fortunate client to secure this dynamic design, confident that they will receive support throughout the process from one of the most trusted names in the industry.”
Speaking to BOATPro earlier this year, Genc explained that the decision to move to larger superyachts was in response to client demands, who wished for larger versions of the Sirena 88 – the yard’s current flagship.
