Offshore seismic survey company Shearwater GeoServices has sold four empty survey vessels for recycling as part of its fleet renewal strategy.
The first two ships, 2000 built Polar Marquis and the Oceanic Challenger were delivered to Turkey for recycling by EU regulations and the 2009 Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Responsible Recycling of Ships.
Two other inactive ships, the 1992 SW Emerald and the 1999 SW Eagle will be delivered for recycling in the coming months.
