Students who will receive practical and theoretical training on maritime during their internship periods will be able to examine and use all technical equipment in the offices and ships of the enterprise. Within the scope of the internship period, students will be able to learn all cruise operations on-site, from the purchase of passengers and vehicles to their discharge.
“We aim that they begin their business life one step ahead”
Referring to the importance of training qualified seafarers, İZDENİZ’s General Manager Ümit Yılmaz said, “Every year thousands of people graduate from maritime high schools and maritime faculties in Türkiye. However, one of the biggest problems in the sector is that students cannot find a ship or a business that can do their compulsory internship in maritime education. As İzmir Metropolitan Municipality İZDENİZ Inc., we are trying to create internship opportunities for the maximum number of students studying at maritime vocational high schools or universities related to maritime. We aim that the students who do internships within our company take firm steps towards their future professions and start their business life one step ahead with the plus of having done an internship at İZDENİZ upon graduation.”
