Announced at Monaco Yacht Show 2022, Sirena Superyachts is part of the Sirena Marine brand and was developed with a range of 35-metre, 42-metre and 50-metre models. The Sirena 42M will be the first model to be built at the shipyard in Istanbul.
The Sirena 42M yacht features exterior design and layout by Luca Vallebona, with Hot Lab responsible for her interior design. Her layout can be tailored to suit the needs of owners, with options such as an owner’s suite on the main or upper decks, allowing for a dedicated dining area in the saloon and a guest area at the bow.
“The main layout features the owner’s stateroom at the bow, a solution designed to provide direct access to the forward patio, an open and private space that strongly characterises my design proposal for the Sirena 42M,” explained designer Luca Vallebona.
The Sirena 42M features a fresh and elegant interior design from Hot Lab. “The effect we wanted to achieve is certainly that of a studied environment rich in detail, but at the same time one that did not become mannerist at all costs,” commented Enrico Lumini, Partner and Head of Design at Hot Lab. “The lines are essential, almost obvious, yet in their continuous chromatic and material contrast they find strength and richness.”
She features a selection of materials such as natural beech and oak, cotton and chenille for the sofas, and metal–in a titanium effect for her deckhead panels. The result is a light and muted colour palette that combines Nordic design, with a more Mediterranean ambiance.
Her interiors are rich, but not opulent, providing a true home-away-from-home experience. “The interiors are simply stunning, with stylishly realised options that allow for highly personalised finishing coupled to design flexibility in layout that ties in perfectly with Sirena’s forward-thinking approach to general arrangements without impacting on engineering elements,” added Cagin Genc, CEO of Sirena.
The main saloon of the Sirena 42M is situated aft, allowing for a seamless transition to her aft pool. The saloon’s windows are expansive, offering panoramic views of her surroundings and efforts have been made to reduce the number of lateral pillars to allow the view to span horizontally, parallel to the landscape.
The layout with the extended living area offers two areas that can be highly personalised. The first is the area forward of the stairs on the starboard side, an intimate space that can serve as a game room, lounge area, or studio. Forward of this space is a comfortable and welcoming dining area with an overlooking patio area.
“We focused a lot on the transition zones, like the one on the main deck leading to the stairs and the owner’s suite. The way the staircase to the upper deck interacts with the niche in front of it, also creates the opportunity for a more dramatic entrance to the owner’s stateroom,” commented Luca Vallebona.
The owner’s suite features a sliding glass door at the bow, bridging the gap between her interior and exterior spaces. “Often, reference is made to large windows as a method to enhance the relationship between the interior and exterior. In the case of Sirena Superyachts, I wanted to take this concept a step further, ensuring not only expansive views of the landscape but also the possibility of physically stepping outside of the usually enclosed interior,” added Luca Vallebona.
The remaining four guest staterooms are located on the lower deck and consist of two VIP staterooms with transverse beds and a partition that separates them from the suite, while serving as a wardrobe.
“Thanks to this solution and the ensuite bathrooms that separate them from the technical areas aft, with curves, large fillets, and dynamic walls to create the opportunity for an interior where there is always an element that can stand out from the rest, clear and not redundant,” concluded Luca Vallebona.
