The Turkish Shipowners’ Association encourages new memberships to increase its coverage in the sector and to appeal to a wider audience with new company memberships. In this context, Alkoç Group, Armona Shipping, Gündem Shipping, and İskenderun Shipping companies, which are important corporate companies of the sector, were accepted as members of the Turkish Shipowners’ Association this year with the decision of the Board of Directors numbered 7.

Armona Shipping
Armona Shipping, which was initially established for the construction of its own fleet ships, over time became the Ship Management arm of Atlantis Tankers Group. Historically, Turkish Shipowners have had the custom of building their own ships. Although this habit is based on different reasons and has undergone a change over the years, Armona has managed to impose this habit on its experiences in different subjects. It has adapted itself to the system with the advantages of keeping costs low, quality control at high standards, selection of manufacturer technical equipment, and most importantly, keeping the personnel involved in the shipbuilding process in the maintenance and management staff.
Located on the shore of the Bosphorus, the Armona Shipping team is close to one of the world’s largest flight destinations, as well as an hour’s transportation distance to the construction and maintenance shipyards.
Gündem Shipping
Originally established in 1999 to operate the first and newly built 5000-ton coaster ship, Gündem Shipping was originally founded as a family business by a very young welder in the 1970s. Gündem Shipping expanded its business by building more ships in its shipyard. All of their ships are in modern tonnages that comply with IMO regulations. Currently, the company operates 4 general cargo ships in the entire Black Sea, Mediterranean, and Continental Europe by second and third-generation family members. The company draws a proud picture with the level of service it offers to its customers and the standards it applies.
İskenderun Shipping
In today’s global economy, where shipping plays a more vital role than ever before, İskenderun Shipping (İskenderun Ship Management) is committed to sustainability in its services and to making a positive contribution to its customers.
With a strong team, the company serves its customers with all ships under its management, to maintain the highest standards for class, flag state, and local environmental regulations.
