The first of the three 3600 dwt environmentally friendly pike ships, the construction of which started in November 2022 at the Gelibolu Shipyard and built for Aksoy Group’s own fleet, Ali Rıza Aksoy Maritime, was launched.
The ceremony held at the shipyard was attended by District Governor Bekir Abacı, Gelibolu Mayor M. Mustafa Özacar, Gelibolu Shipyard Chairman of the Board of Directors Ufuk Aksoy, Ali Rıza Aksoy Maritime Board Chairman Oya Aksoy, Gelibolu Shipyard Manager İbrahim Özlü, representatives of non-governmental organizations and those who contributed to the construction of the ship in a short time. Carbon emissions will decrease by 10 percent
The ship, which is designed to be suitable for sea-river operations and will use Econowind VentiFoils, which will reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by approximately 10 percent per year depending on the sailing route, will be delivered this year. The length of the ship is 88 meters, its width is 13 and its draft is 4.30 meters.
