The first contract news came from the ongoing DIMDEX Defense Fair in Qatar.
A contract was signed between the Qatar Navy and Dearsan Shipyard for the construction of two FAC 46 assault boats. At the contract ceremony, Qatar Naval Forces Commander Major General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Sulaiti, President of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün and DEARSAN Chairman of the Board of Directors Aziz Yıldırım were also present.
According to the contract, the two assault boats to be built will be 46.75 meters long, 9.20 meters wide and have a draft of 1.90 meters.

“On March 5, 2024, a contract signing ceremony was held at the Doha International Maritime Defense Fair between the Qatar Navy and Dearsan Shipyard within the scope of the design and construction project of 2 50-meter High Speed Attack Boats.

High-Speed Assault Boat, which can undertake effective missions within the scope of Asymmetric Warfare, Patrol Missions, Protection of Regional Waters, Combating Maritime Piracy, Reconnaissance and Surveillance, Search and Rescue, Disaster Relief Operations, Border Control, Base and Port Security, Surface Warfare, Air Defense Warfare and There will be weapon systems for Asymmetric Warfare.
