Sanmar delivered the compact tugboat named GÖKSU V from its fleet to its new customer CCI Bayonne Pays Basque in France.
Robert Allan Ltd’s RAscal 1500 ASD design, GÖKSU V, is 14.95 meters long, 8.30 meters wide and has a draft of 3 meters. The tugboat, which can reach 16 tons of bollard pull and a speed of 10 knots, has the ability to operate from the stern with the bow crane when necessary, thanks to the tunnel under the bridge.
GÖKSU V, which was loaded onto a heavy-lift ship from Istanbul Haydarpaşa Port to be delivered to Bayonne Port, is expected to be delivered to its new port in the first weeks of April.
Compact and robust
Sanmar Shipyards Commercial Director Rüçhan Çıvgın said, “GÖKSU V is part of a tug series designed taking into account the needs of customers such as CCI Bayonne Pays Basque. In addition to being compact and robust, it has good maneuverability. “We are pleased that our wide range of tugs can once again meet the specific needs of a customer”
