Dr. Ferhunde Algaç Meriç expressed her views on the exhibition as follows: “Although he has an abstract painting understanding, we encounter very distinct stylistic differences in the paintings of Captain Tuncay Topçu, despite the lack of a story. In addition to the use of more neutral colors instead of fov colors in geometric color areas, the most distinctive stylistic difference is the presence of the black line, which is an active part of the artist’s style, which is the lifeblood of his paintings, wandering freely on the surface and has a delicate and fragile structure.
The line has taken on an extremely solid and more active form, which restricts the relationship of amorphous images shaped with dulled colors with other colors-forms. The line has taken on an extremely solid and more active form, which restricts the relationship of amorphous images shaped with dulled colors with other colors and shapes. because this situation can change at any moment and the line can return to its former fragile structure, it also has an appearance that clearly makes us feel taken for granted. While the individualization of almost every colorful geometrical form that the artist put forward becomes etanetic, it has been reshaped as a reflection of the restriction in real life and the change in the artist’s mood”.
