The aluminum double-ended hull of the Ryfylke ferry, built for Norled AS, met with water. The hull of the aluminum ferry, built by Norse Group, will be delivered to Westcon YARDS AS before being delivered to Norled AS next year. The Ryfylke ferry will be completed at Westcon Group and then will serve on behalf of Kolumbus AS near Stavanger.
Ryfylke will have one of the largest battery packs ever mounted on such a small ship. In this way, she will be able to serve all day and charge all night by providing zero emission transportation even in places where the electricity grid cannot be upgraded.
