Sefine Shipyard delivered M/V Oslofjord I, the first of 5 aluminum cruise ships built for the Norwegian company Boreal. The ferry was sent off to Norway.
The 35-meter long and 8-meter wide ferry, which will serve the islands in the Oslo Fjord, can carry 354 passengers.
Incorporating environmentally friendly and innovative technologies, the electric ferry has a hybrid motor with a battery capacity of 1017 kWh.
Sefine Shipyard signed an agreement with the Norwegian company Boreal last year to build five electric ferries.
Boreal made an agreement with the official authority Ruter to provide services on the Oslo Fjord islands at the beginning of 2020.
