The Turkish Shipowners’ Association (TSA) has signed a strategic partnership with StormGeo, an Alfa Laval company, a deal which will see StormGeo’s complete s-Suite system made available to all TSA member companies.
The agreement is part of TSA’s efforts to digitalise and decarbonise shipping operations in the region through the introduction of improved technology.
“For over one year, TSA has been looking for a solution to help us decarbonise and digitalise our operations. During that time, we evaluated offers from about 15 software companies,” said Cihan Ergenc, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Shipowners’ Association and Chairman of ER Denizcilik.
“Finally, our committee chose StormGeo as a strategic partner to look into the future of digitalisation, environmental regulation, and performance quality. StormGeo’s solutions will benefit us significantly and add value to our ships’ management quality.”
StormGeo says it will use both manual and high-frequency data to support the goals of the Turkish shipowner community. To ensure data quality, the parties have also elicited the help of Danish marine technology provider Danelec to provide data collection, aggregation, and transfer services to s-Suite.
