Tufan Erginbilgiç, who has an engineering background and has worked in many international companies, has been continuing his career at BP for more than 20 years, 5 of which were in the management group. Before leaving his last role in 2020, Erginbilgiç headed BP’s sub-business unit, which included Refineries, Petrochemicals, Service Station networks, Mineral oils, Midstream operations, and Air BP jet fuel operations.
During the successful tenure of the Turkish executive, the business unit experienced a great transformation, achieving record profitability and security performance. He also held various management positions in heavy industry and manufacturing companies, including the aerospace technology group GKN. Erginbilgiç is also a partner of Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a private equity firm that manages an $81 billion fund.
