Noyan Altuğ, Chairman of the Board of UZMAR, stated that UZMAR is a very environmentally sensitive shipyard regarding their ISO 50001 certification, said, “ISO 50001 certification for energy management systems is a direct reflection of the environmental commitment of our corporate culture. Our shipyard was previously certified according to ISO 14001 environmental and ISO 9001 quality standards. Our energy reduction measures at UZMAR were also positively received by those who visited the shipyard. They are aware of the fact that the ships built in our shipyard are fuel-efficient and environmental awareness is very important for UZMAR.”
Altuğ said that obtaining ISO 50001 certification is another confirmation of the robustness of UZMAR’s environmental management system and reaffirming the company’s belief that an effective management system ensures continuous improvement.
Stating that new energy-saving methods have been successfully implemented in Uzmar shipyards, Noyan Altuğ, Chairman of the Board of UZMAR, said, “We congratulate all UZMAR employees for their active participation in our energy reduction journey” and thanked his employees.
