Another important milestone has passed in the Preveze Class Submarine Yarı Ömür (Half-Life) Modernization Project (PREVEZE-YÖM), carried out under the responsibility of the Presidency of Defense Industries.
The PREVEZE-YÖM Project, which includes the modernization of 4 Preveze Class Submarines, the Inertial Travel, CTD Probe, Chilled Water, and Static Inverter systems, which were supposed to be delivered during the continuation of the design stages, was completed. The Critical Design Phase of the project was also approved by the Presidency of Defense Industries.
Platform integration for the first ship was completed in the MÜREN Combat Management System Project, which was carried out simultaneously with PREVEZE-YÖM and for which we were responsible for platform integration.
Critical missions to STM in Preveza
The Preveze Class Submarine Yarı Ömür(Half-Life) Modernization Project covers the modernization of TCG Preveze (S-353), TCG Sakarya (S-354), TCG 18 Mart (S-355), and TCG Anafartalar (S-356) submarines in the inventory of the Naval Forces Command.
In addition to the system supplies that fall to STM’s share in the project, the platform integration activities of all the systems to be modernized for Preveze Class Submarines are also proceeding under our responsibility.
Project of Preveze Class Submarine Half-Life Modernization
The Preveze Class Submarine Yarı Ömür (Half-Life) Modernization Project covers the modernization of TCG Preveze (S-353), TCG Sakarya (S-354), TCG 18 Mart (S-355), and TCG Anafartalar (S-356) submarines in the inventory of the Naval Forces Command. Modernization activities are carried out by STM-ASELSAN-HAVELSAN and ASFAT Business Partnership.
STM planned to supply, the Inertial Navigation System, Salinity- Depth-Density Measurement System, Floating Antenna, Satellite Communication Mast, Offensive and Navigational Periscope System, Emergency Underwater Communication System, Chilled Water System, Static Converter and Air Freshening System during the modernization process.
In addition to procurement activities, platform integration activities of all products supplied by STM-ASELSAN-HAVELSAN and ASFAT Business Partnership are also carried out by the Defense Industry Presidency.
