Vento Denizcilik (Shipping) organized an iftar invitation for the 10th anniversary of its establishment and brought the stakeholders of the sector together. While the executives of maritime NGOs also attended the invitation, Seçkin Yılmaz, Vento Shipping Founding Partner, said that as the first ship management company in the world, they are preparing for NFT supply.
Support to fight against marine pollution
Yılmaz stated that they prepared the NFT number as 1973, referring to the year 1973 when IMO accepted the Marpole Convention, and said, “Our collection will contain 8 different ship types from containers to dry cargo and 16 flags. Among these ships, there will be 10 ships from the Titanic to the Bandırma Ferry that have made a place in the history of the world maritime.”
Stating that one of their biggest goals while preparing the NTF collection is to support the fight against marine pollution, Yılmaz said that some of the income from the project will be transferred to organizations that fight marine pollution.
We are a family
Teoman Mustafa Akyol, the other founding partner of Vento Denizcilik, said that they work as a family in their company. Akyol said, “We have a big family”.
Digital transformation is coming
Şadan Kaptanoğlu, Vice Chairman of the IMEAK Chamber of Shipping and Chairman of the TURMEPA/Clean Sea Association, stated that they attach great importance to anniversaries in the maritime industry and said, “It is proud to see today by establishing a company”.
Stating that the maritime industry will experience a digital transformation in addition to emissions and the environment, Kaptanoğlu said that their biggest chance as an industry will be the ability to redefine themselves with experience and knowledge. Kaptanoğlu presented the evil eye beads to Teoman Mustafa Akyol and Seçkin Yılmaz after his speech.
