Anonymous hackers targeted Russian President Vladimir Putin’s luxury yacht “Graceful”, worth approximately $100 million, and reported that they hacked Putin’s private luxury yacht. The yacht is reportedly worth $97 million and is ironically named “Graceful”. The name of the yacht Graceful, meaning kind, was changed after she was hacked.
On Saturday, a group of hackers altered the marine traffic data of the yacht, reportedly worth around $97 million, making it appear as if it crashed on Ukraine’s Snake Island captured by Russia, after which the yacht’s course was changed to ‘hell’. According to the information Anonymous hackers gave to journalist Ryan Gallagher, the attack was carried out through the Automatic Identification System.
