The Submarine Information Distribution System (DBDS-P) is provided by HAVELSAN within the scope of the Preveze-Class National Production Integrated Combat Management System (MÜREN-Preveze) Project Contract.
The system is designed to receive data from different sensors and systems, and to distribute them to the relevant units in an uninterrupted and backup manner so that submarines can perform all operational tasks efficiently. DBDS is described as the “heart” of the submarine due to the tasks it undertakes.
Thanks to DBDS, which is a part of the Platform Data Distribution Systems family, the weapon, sensor, and navigation systems in the submarines, which have the most complex technology after space vehicles, can function fully integrated, the data integration of these systems is done correctly, and the only correct data valid in the entire war system is circulated. The data between the systems integrated via DBDS can be recorded to analyze the operational efficiency issues.
DBDS-P’s installation, assembly, port and sea tests were completed and delivered to the TCG Preveze submarine in the inventory of the Turkish Naval Forces, the first ship of the MÜREN-Prezeve Project. Thanks to the redundant and uninterrupted data flow of DBDS-P, which plays an important role in DBDS integration, it will be possible for Preveze-class submarines to perform their operational missions most effectively.
The Platform Information Distribution System, which is an example of the programmatic approach of the Turkish Naval Forces to defense projects, has been chosen for 47 platforms and delivered for 36 platforms so far. The system continues to be one of the biggest indicators of trust in HAVELSAN with its very low failure and high activity rate.
