The logistics support ship TCG YZB. GÜNGÖR DURMUŞ, joined the Turkish Navy in December 2021 and was welcomed with a ceremony in Leventler/Foça, her home base where she transferred.
TCG YZB. GÜNGÖR DURMUŞ entered the inventory of the Turkish Naval Forces Command with the ceremony held on December 8, 2021. The construction of YZB. GÜNGÖR DURMUŞ was started by Selah Shipyard, but it could not be put into service for a long time due to the economic difficulties experienced by the shipyard. Then, within the scope of the contract signed between the Presidency of Defense Industries and STM on February 9, 2021, TCG YZB. GÜNGÖR DURMUŞ was completed and delivered to the Naval Forces Command on 8 December 2021.
