Attorney Cem Congar, one of the well-known lawyers of the maritime industry, was elected as the honorary chairman of the association, which determined its management by holding its first general assembly.
Attorney Bahar Yeniay, Attorney Sema Ocaktan, Attorney Selen Özen, and Gökberk Köseahmet took part on the board of the Young Maritime Lawyers Association. held its first meeting on February 8, 2022, at Kozyatağı Byotell Hotel.
The purpose of the association
The association was established to conduct sectoral and legal research on International Maritime Trade Law, Maritime Labor Law, Maritime Enforcement Law, Transport and Logistics Law, Maritime Arbitration and Maritime Insurance, and Shipbuilding, Ship Transport, and Logistics.
It is necessary to be a student between the ages of 18-45 in Law, Maritime, and Insurance related departments or to be professionally working in these sectors to become a member of the association.
The headquarters of the Young Maritime Lawyers Association is located in Istanbul, Pendik, Kaptan Street.
