Director of Djibouti University Transportation and Logistics Research Center and Maritime and Port Law Lecturer Dr. Hadi Ali Miganeh visited ITU Maritime Faculty. Miganeh was hosted by ITU Maritime Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Özcan Arslan, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hay and Prof. Dr. Levent Kırval. According to the information obtained, international bilateral cooperation and partnership opportunities on maritime businesses were discussed.
The Djiboutian guest then visited Delmar Academy, which serves on the faculty campus, and received information from Capt. Arda Akyüz, one of the founders of the academy and chairman of the board.
Speaking to HaberDenize.com, Akyüz stated that Delmar Academy has provided training to service station employees from 20 countries so far and that they plan to work with Djibouti soon.
Akyüz said, “The Djibouti delegation is one of the most important maritime authorities in their country. Our meeting was very positive. They were amazed by our facility. They will inform the service stations as soon as they return to their country. We want to see Djibouti among us as our 21st country”
