Tersan Shipyard launched its 99th Project NB1099 krill capture and processing ship. The ship had built for the Norwegian company Rimfrost in cooperation with Westcon Shipyard.
The 120 meter long Krill Fishing ship designed by Kongsberg will conduct Krill fishing operations in Antarctica.
The ship, which meets IMO’s Polar Code and low emission standards, will be an eco-friendly ship that stands out with the use of sustainable energy sources.
The ship, which has an optimized diesel-electric propulsion system based on low sulfur diesel, can provide optimum operation with minimum emissions.
Tersan Shipyard is planning to deliver the 120-meter-long Krill Fishing ship in the first quarter of 2022, which will have a living space for 60 people.
