İSTAÇ, one of the companies of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, was using 11 sea surface cleaning boats and 2 environmental control boats for coastal and sea cleaning of approximately 5 million square meters. Haliç Shipyard started to work on producing 3 surface cleaning boats and a control boat in addition to these boats. The boats, each of which will have a garbage collection capacity of 7 cubic meters, will also be used in the fight against mucilage. The new boats will have a winch as well as a mechanical cleaning apparatus.
She will be produced with a catamaran hull
Sea cleaning boats will be produced in catamaran type and with a steel hull. Compared to old boats, the boats will be able to move in shallower waters and will save fuel.
