Ares Shipyard delivers 13 boats from the 122 series

Control boats are produced by Ares Shipyard in Antalya for the Coast Guard Command and the General Directorate of Security. Delivery of the boots, which are 100% domestic design, has started. Control bots will strengthen the fight against illegal crossing and smuggling.

Turkey turned to domestic vehicles to protect its inland waters in the seas. Ares Shipyard is building the boats for the Coast Guard Command and the General Directorate of Security.

Domestic control boats are produced in 6 series. 6 boats are prepared in approximately 2 months and delivered to both the coast guard command and the general directorate of security.

Territorial waters are entrusted to local boats

ARES Shipyard General Manager Utku Alanç said, “We have delivered 13 boats so far. These 13 boats have already started to work in Van Lake, Trabzon, Edirne, Enez, Aydın, and Didim, in fact, all over Turkey, including inland waters.”

Having successfully passed the tough strength tests, the boats can reach speeds of up to 38 knots per hour.

Marine vehicles, whose design is 100% domestic, draw attention with their mobility.

Shipyard General Manager Utku Alanç said, “Our boats are 12 meters in length, we can say that they are relatively small boats, but in terms of capability, they are equivalent to 20-30 meter boats in terms of nautical capabilities, and even more advantageous at some points. Boat designs belong to us. We continue our work with completely domestic equipment. In particular, it is equipped with equipment that can be used in refugee, casualty rescue, and relief operations on stormy and high seas. Medical equipment is also included. There is also a recovery platform at the back. This rescue platform will be used in case of injury or death.”

The first boat delivered to the General Directorate of Security was named after Martyr Eren Bülbül.
