With the agreement signed between DFDS Mediterranean Business Unit and Heavy Transporters Association, all domestic transporters will benefit from cabotage services between Pendik/Kumcular-Ambarlı/Kumport Ports, where all customers between the Asian and European sides of Istanbul are transported.
As of January 20, 2022, DFDS Mediterranean Business Unit launched Pendik/Kumcular-Ambarlı/Kumport services to all its customers in Istanbul, Asia, and Europe, in line with the agreement it signed with the Heavy Transporters Association. Domestic transportation vehicles will benefit from these regular flights between Pendik/Anatolian Side and Ambarlı-Kumport/European Side.
Ferry between Pendik and Ambarli
Önder Başboğa, Sales and Business Development Director of DFDS Mediterranean Business Unit, spoke about the agreement as follows: “This agreement between DFDS and the Heavy Transporters Association allows regular ferryboat transports between Pendik-Ambarlı in Istanbul, especially in the Anatolian-Europe direction, by private vehicles, without entering Istanbul traffic. aims to make it easier by using our services. Thus, the occupancy rate of our ferry services will increase, and advantageous prices and ease of operation will be provided to companies engaged in heavy transport. We will ensure that heavy vehicles use sea transportation instead of highway in Istanbul, the largest metropolis of our country. We believe that this will contribute to making life easier for our citizens.
