Hasan Captain, one of the pioneers of diving tourism, passed away today in the morning and unfortunately the diving world lost a soldier.
Hasan Captain, well-known to those who crossed the road to Kaş, was an environmentalist and also known for his love for Kaş. He was in love with Kas. Hasan Kaptan was to Kas what Akson Mehmet was to Bodrum.
Hasan Captain, who is a brother to his staff, not a boss, never gave up his love for diving and Kaş even while struggling with his incurable disease. Even world record holders such as Yasemin Dalkılıç and Şahika Encümen would do their record attempts and training with Hasan Captain on his boat.

Who is Hasan Captain (Kırbaş)
The captain, born in Kaş in 1965, could not stay away from the sea and found his profession from the sea. He turned his face to the sea with fishing. His life changed when he started a diving boat as a captain. He just wanted to do it with a boat designed for diving, and in time he was the first to do it. It has also become famous with the phrase “Kaş is the only place where love has passed in ages, behind a stone”.
