Gede Sumarjaya, Head of Public Relations of Buleleng Police, said, “According to his statement, the captain was checking the quarter at the time. He suddenly fell into the sea, but he does not remember the reason for the fall.”
Stating that Captain Seçkal was found by the fisherman Gede Budiasa, Sumarjaya said that the fisherman sailed from Kubuaddan Village’s Segara Beach at night and found Captain Erhan Seçkal after a call for help a few hours later.

“Miracle salvation at sea on the days of Ramadan Feast! It was noticed that the captain of the Liberian-flagged ship QUORN, Erhan SEÇKAL, was not on board at noon while cruising approximately 30 miles north of Bali Island on 02.05.2022.
While the search activities by the Indonesian RCC and the ship were inconclusive, it was learned that SEÇKAL, who was found at sea and hospitalized two and a half days later by the fishermen, is in good condition. We wish our sailor a quick recovery. Thank goodness!”
