The company took action for new employment and Burcu Tekmen, who is experienced in chemical tankers, started to work at ASM Maritime.
Burcu Tekmen, who started working at Chem Rotterdam in Singapore, also became the first female seafarer to start a job at ASM Maritime. Tekmen, who is a graduate of Istanbul Technical University, attended the company’s briefing in Amsterdam before embarking on the ship. Tekmen will serve as the First Officer of the Far Way on the ASM ship.
Lucent Denizcilik (Maritime), which has a Private Employment Agency Authorization Certificate as the first company that employs foreign shipowners, has been working with ASM Maritime since 2017. Netherlands-based ASM Maritime owns a fleet of chemical tankers and has close to 30 chemical tankers.
