The awards of the ArtAnkara International Contemporary Art Fair held at the ATO Congresium were presented to their owners at the ceremony. Arkas Holding Chairman of the Board Lucien Arkas, who has brought to life important projects to make art accessible, popular with new generations, and dissemination, received the Honor Award for Contribution to Art.
around 4500 works of more than 1000 artists from 33 countries were exhibited, in the 8th ArtAnkara International Contemporary Art Fair. Within the scope of the fair, the traditional awards in 3 categories were determined for the third time by the ArtAnkara Advisory Board and given to their owners. The award winners were announced by Prof. İsmail Ateş. This year, ArtAnkara Advisory Board deemed Arkas Holding Chairman of the Board Lucien Arkas worthy of the “Honorary Award for Contribution to Art” for his value and contributions to the arts. Ankara Chamber of Commerce President Gürsel Baran presented the award to the Director of Arkas Art Center, Müjde Unustasi, representing Lucien Arkas. Unustası thanked him by mentioning the unifying power of art and saying that they were happy for the award.
The Art Honor Award was given to Zafer Gençaydın, while the Institution Honorary Award was given to the Imoga Museum. The event, where art lovers meet with works in classical fields such as painting, sculpture, and ceramics, as well as digital art, also makes significant contributions to the cultural economy.
