The historical Anatolian Lighthouse was restored in Beykoz, which was announced by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoğlu. Anadolu Feneri offers unique views to its visitors, as it is located at the junction of the Black Sea and the Bosphorus, which is intertwined with nature.
Anadolu Lighthouse, whose restoration work was completed, was built in 1834 during the Crimean War to guide the French and British ships to see the entrances of the Bosphorus and the Black Sea. Anadolu Feneri was started to be operated by the French with the Rumeli Lighthouse opposite it, as well as the tower part on May 15, 1856.
Fener was completely owned by Turkey in 1933.
The lighthouse was completely owned by Turkey in 1933, with the cancellation of the 100-year operating privilege given to the French. The rare lighthouse, which still preserves its original form, is 20 meters in length and 75 meters in height.
Anadolu Lighthouse in Beykoz Yon Cape guides the ships coming from the Black Sea and entering the Bosphorus at the point where Istanbul opens to the Black Sea. It can be seen at a distance of 16 nautical miles in fine weather from Anadolu Feneri.
The Historical Lighthouse greets the sailors by emitting a white light every second from a height of 75 meters, after which a waiting period of 18 seconds begins.
