A fire broke out in the fuel tank section of the tug named Kurtaran 2, belonging to the General Directorate of Coastal Safety, which was pooled in the historical Haliç Shipyard. While the fire was extinguished by firefighters, it was learned that there was no fuel in the tanker.
The fire occurred around 5:30 pm. Firefighters, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. While it was learned that there was no fuel in the tank during the fire, firefighters made a detailed examination of the fuel tank for precautionary purposes.
