The Chamber of Shipping (DTO) İzmir Branch went to the elections. According to the statement, the election process for the 2022-2026 period was completed with the elections for the board of directors and the parliamentary presidency. 18 out of 20 council members voted in the election. Öztürk, the only candidate who received all the votes, became the chairman of the board again. The board of directors consisted of Mihri Çelik, Hakkı Deniz, Onur Nevzat Kanıer, and Emre Hüseyin Soyuer.
Argun Gündüç was unanimously elected as the chairman of the assembly in the election held in the assembly convened after the elections of the board of directors.
Yusuf Öztürk, stating that he came to the management in 2013, said, “This will be our third term. This time we will act differently. We will go faster for our country and İzmir maritime. We want to carry out more effective parliamentary work. We will manage the chamber management and the assembly together, without distinction between principal and substitute members. We will establish a large number of working groups and create an organization that works before solving problems. We will ensure that our young members take part in these activities. We will solve every problem in the 48 sub-sectors of maritime with a participatory approach.”
