Desan Shipyard, owned by Kaptanoğlu Group, attended the Euronaval 2022 Fair held in Paris Le Bourget on October 18-21. Türkiye’s Ambassador to France Ali Onaner also visited the Desan stand and received information about new projects.
Desan Shipyard, which carries out ship maintenance, repair, and new shipbuilding activities with its three facilities established in Tuzla Shipyards Region, participated in the “EURONAVAL World Naval Defense Fair” in Paris on October 18-21, one of the most important organizations of the sector. Maritime defense industrialists and leading decision makers and commanders of the military and state navy met at EURONAVAL to exchange ideas, discover the latest innovations and prepare the future of their navy. Desan Shipyard, which brought Türkiye’s first emergency response and diving training boats to the inventory of the Turkish Navy, included 4 Fuel Oil Ships (AGEM) under construction at the EURONAVAL Fair, in addition to this project. Desan Shipyard, which continues its maintenance and repair activities and military new shipbuilding projects at full speed, brought its works together with the visitors at the fair.
Visitors had the opportunity to get information about innovations in the sector, new projects, and services at EURONAVAL Fair, which is the world’s largest maritime defense industry fair with more than 700 exhibitors and more than 30.000 visitors from 31 countries. Taking its place in the fair, which was held for the 28th time this year, Desan attracted great interest from the visitors. Desan met with the leading decision-makers of the Maritime Defense Industry and held talks on both new projects and ongoing projects. The fair, which was held every 2 years and online due to the pandemic, attracted a lot of attention this year.
Stating that the fair was intense and very productive for them, Desan’s Chairman of the Board Cenk Kaptanoğlu made the following assessment:
“As DESAN Shipyard, we continue our activities with a level of competence that can undertake all kinds of military and commercial shipbuilding projects, both domestically and abroad. This fair is of great importance in terms of bringing our work together with the world defense industry and at the same time carrying Türkiye’s regional power to global markets. In addition to the EURONAVAL fair, we are trying to take part in all trade fairs. We aim to represent our country in the best way and to realize more successful projects with the work we do with our local and international partners.”
