Cemre Shipyard delivered the fishing vessel named Sunny Lady to the Norwegian company Teige Rederi. The Norwegian flag was hoisted on the ship at the delivery ceremony.
Sunny Lady, the world’s second purse seine with LNG and battery propulsion system, designed by Salt Ship Design and built by Cemre Shipyard, was delivered to Norwegian Teige Rederi AS.
The fishing vessel named Sunny Lady has 350 cubic meters of LNG tank, 2,830 m3 RSW (Chilled Sea Water) tank, and large battery power.
The 1000 kWh battery of the ship will be used mostly in peak shaving operations, and energy recovery. Noise and environmental pollution will be prevented when the ship is at the pier.
Cemre Shipyard and Norwegian Teige Rederi signed an agreement for the construction of the fishing vessel in 2019.
