Bringing the world real estate industry together, the MIPIM fair opened its doors. The Fair, held in Cannes, France, hosts thousands of professionals on 15-18 March. Turkish companies made an appearance at MIPIM, the real estate fair held in Cannes, France. 30 projects with an investment value of 10 billion dollars are being introduced at the fair.
Mehmet Kalyoncu, President of the Real Estate Investors Association (GYODER), said that many investments were exhibited at the fair, from Airport City to Galataport, from Istanbul Finance Center to Fenerbahçe Kalamış Marina, from urban transformation projects to branded housing projects.
Mehmet Kalyoncu stated that international investors are now interested in logistics and tourism investments, rather than housing and shopping mall projects in Turkey. “An American marina investor, who is among the investors to whom we sent the project catalog, expressed his interest in Kalamış Marina. We will see the demands more clearly at the investor breakfast attended by the ministers.”
Meanwhile, the privatization of Fenerbahçe-Kalamış Yacht Harbor, owned by Türkiye Denizcilik İşletmeleri Inc., was made last October, and Tek-Art Kalamış, a subsidiary of Koç Holding, and Fenerbahçe Marmara Turizm Tesisleri Inc. (Tek-Art) made the highest bid of 2.5 billion liras.
The project, which was previously approved by the Presidency, was canceled with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The reason for the cancellation was not disclosed.
