Continuing to grow in the field of international marine fuel with its annual sales volume of 700 thousand tons and its superior product and service quality, SOCAR Marine has started sales in the domestic marine fuel market. Turkey’s largest foreign direct investor, SOCAR Marine, one of the affiliates of SOCAR Turkey, added the domestic marine fuel market to its field of activity and started sales in the Marmara, Aegean, and Mediterranean Seas. SOCAR Marine will quickly respond to the needs of customers in a wide range from domestic passenger and cargo ships to tourism boats, from fishermen to public institutions while, continuing its activities without slowing down since 2013 and reaching 700 thousand tons annually.
Anar Mammadov, SOCAR Turkey Petrochemical and Refinery Business Unit President and Petkim General Manager, said, “SOCAR Marine, in addition to physical supplies at Turkish ports in the international marine fuels market, has captured the superiority it has captured in all international ports from Gibraltar to Singapore, from Rotterdam to South Africa. It aims to spread its service approach in all ports from Hopa to Iskenderun in the domestic market. SOCAR Marine made investments in this context and started selling marine fuel in the domestic market first in the Marmara and Aegean, and then in the Mediterranean, as of 2021. SOCAR Marine, which started supplies in Thrace and the Western Black Sea Region as of January, aims to provide complete service in line with the needs of its customers by land and sea and to make a difference in the domestic market with its competitive approach.”
SOCAR Marine, which supplies a wide customer portfolio from small fishing boats to oil tankers, with both sea and land tankers in the domestic market, which reaches approximately 450 thousand tons annually, has expanded its field of activity and started to supply marine fuel to public institutions. As of January 2022, the fuel supplies of two important public institutions are being supplied by SOCAR Marine.
