Turkish shipyard Numarine has revealed a new line of “Mediterranean Explorer” superyachts called 40MXP. An evolution of the popular 37XP model, the 39-metre yacht stands out with her extended aft deck and glass pool offering guests a closer connection to the ocean.
Despite only just being announced, the new series has already sold two units, with delivery scheduled for 2025.
According to the yard, the 40MXP superyacht is a “true global explorer” with a transatlantic range of 6,000 miles at 8 knots thanks to an optimised hull form developed by Umberto Tagliavini.
MXP stands for ‘Mediterranean Explorer’ and she’s designed to “reflect the beach-club lifestyle typical of Med yachts”. She can accommodate up to 12 guests across six suites, including a spacious full-beam main deck master and lower deck VIP. Interior styling and exterior lines are by Turkish studio Can Yalman, who brought a stylish touch to her generous internal and external living spaces.
The key difference in the new series is that the beach club and garage seen on the 37MXP have been replaced with a full-beam hydraulic swim platform, giving easy access to the ocean.
The 40MXP is also two metres longer than its predecessor, with the extra space given to the aft deck, making room for a large alfresco dining area, a bar and lounge, and an aft pool with glass transom – another new addition. An extendable awning offers shade when desired.
