First Lieutenant Arif Ekmekçi disappeared on April 15, 1993, in Amasra, while he was doing submarine training during the “Sea Wolf Exercise”. Ekmekçi could not be found despite the search efforts. After 15 years, a corpse was caught in the nets of fishermen off the coast of Amasra. A diving suit was found on the legs of the body that was taken to the shore.
