Marine Line Turkiye office of Advanced Polymer Coating company signed 2 recoating agreements for 6800 dwt chemical tankers with Vardal Shipping.
M/T FS CLARA and M/T ST SOLENE, built in 2002 and 2003, the project will be carried out at DENTAŞ Shipyard on an area of 6,000 m2, which will include 12 cargo tanks and 2 slop tanks.
The projects are expected to be completed in August and September 2022.
We must cover old ships
Captain Koray Karagöz, Maritime Manager of APC Turkiye, stated that the contracts they signed for these projects were very important to them. Karagöz said, “Because these ships are 18-19 years old, and the choice of Marine Line as a recoating is very important for our market share even for ships of this age. This symbolizes the quality of our coating and our commitment to our brand. This shows that it should be preferred not only in newly built ships but also in chemical tankers operating even at this age.”
