The National Sea Cannon was successfully integrated into the TCG Beykoz (F-503) corvette for port and marine tests, which is 76/62 mm and developed by the Istanbul Shipyard Command and the Machinery and Chemical Industry Incorporated Company (MKE AŞ).
The National Sea Cannon Project is carried out under the design and performance responsibility of the Ministry of National Defense.
The test firing in Karapınar took place successfully, which Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar attended with Chief of General Staff General Yaşar Güler, Land Forces Commander General Musa Avsever, Naval Forces Commander Admiral Adnan Özbal, Air Forces Commander General Hasan Küçükakyüz and Deputy Minister of National Defense Muhsin Dere.
After the test shots, the National Sea Cannon completed the land shots. The National Sea Cannon went on board for other tests, which was demonstrated once again in the tests and where it could fire 80 shots in 60 seconds.
The National Sea Cannon was successfully integrated into TCG Beykoz and was made ready for port and marine tests.
After completing the remaining two testing processes, it will join the Turkish Armed Forces inventory.
The National Sea Cannon, which can reach 80 shots per minute and has a range of 20 kilometers, is used in air defense warfare, surface warfare, and land bombardment. The first test shot of the National Sea Cannon was made in December last year.
