Capt. Zafer Akbulut was appointed as the chief harbor pilot, after Capt. Mete Atilla took charge of Safiport Pilotage and Towing Services in Kocaeli Derince.
Capt. Zafer Akbulut is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Association of Ship Captains (TÜRKKAPDER), who has been working as a harbor pilot in Safiport since 2007.
Safiport Pilotage and Towing Services, which started its operations in 2007 with four harbor pilots, continues to work with 21 harbor pilots.
