According to the information obtained by HaberDenize.com, Elkon Elektrik received funding support for its 8th EU project, Harpooners, within the scope of the Horizon Europe program carried out by TÜBİTAK, its Turkish branch.
It was reported that the project, which received a full score of 15 out of 15, was entitled to fund support of 345 thousand 625 Euros, the work will continue for 36 months with 52 man-months of effort, and the total budget is 7.5 Million Euros. Elkon will work with 14 companies in the project where he is the project leader.

The main purpose of the project is to allow it to be used in maritime vessels engaged in both maritime and inland waterway transportation; “The aim is to develop a reliable and safe battery energy storage system with increased battery capacity and autonomy and reduced weight.”
