Istanbul-based GN Group, which provides ship management services in the maritime transportation industry, is expanding its fleet with new ships.
GN Group has launched the 10609 DWT general cargo ships Lady Luciana and Lady Viviana, both built in 2005, with a length of 145.63 meters and a width of 18.25 meters.
GN Group Security and Operations Officer Emre Ustün expressed their satisfaction with the addition of the new ships to the fleet and said:
Ships have souls
“After two exciting weeks, we are delighted to welcome new ships to our fleet.
The ship takeover process brings a sense of excitement to both crew and shore staff as we embrace new experiences and build new relationships. However, additional working hours and responsibilities also bring fatigue.
I am grateful to all crew members and shore staff for their support throughout this voyage.
I would also like to thank the entire RINA team from Turkey, Finland and the UK for their excellent and continuous service.
For me, ships are more than commercial objects; they have souls. They serve as home and country for those on board; “From food to songs, from languages to laughter, they shape experiences according to the different citizenships on board.”
