SEFT Engineering announced that it provided Air Lubrication System (ALS) integration for three DFDS Ro-Ro ships named Pergamon Seaways, Sumela Seaways and Paqize.
By creating a layer of air bubbles under the ship’s hull, ALS integration reduces the frictional forces acting on the ship, requiring less power to drive the ship and thus less amount of fuel.
“We are proud to reduce fuel consumption”
SEFT Engineering said the following about its collaboration with DFDS:
“We are proud to integrate the air lubrication system, increasing the efficiency of the ship and reducing fuel consumption. As SEFT Engineering, we continue to offer innovative solutions and successfully complete our projects with the expertise of our engineering team. “We are honored to collaborate with DFDS on this project and look forward to working together on future projects.”
