A steel cutting ceremony was held for two chemical tankers built by Tersan Shipyard for the Dutch operator Tune Chemical Tankers (TCT).
There are also two additional options within the scope of the contract signed between the two companies in June 2023.
In the statement made by Tune Chemical Tankers, “The first steel cutting of our new 16,500 DWT chemical tanker was an important milestone for us. We would like to thank our partner Tersan Shipyard for their cooperation and expertise in bringing this exciting project to life. We would also like to thank everyone who attended this meaningful ceremony. “We now look forward to the time when this ship will be fully operational for global trade.” Ships that will run on methanol are planned to be delivered in 2025.
