Med Marine, which signed a contract with Tunisian OMMP for the construction of six tugboats in November 2023, held the steel cutting ceremony of the tugboats. OMMP officials were also fully present at the ceremony held at Ereğli Shipyard.
The Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) tugboats are 28 meters long and have a traction power of 60 tons. The tugboats, designed in the RAstar 2800 series, were built by Robert Allan Ltd.
OMMP will use these tugboats, which represent the latest in maritime technology, in towing and port operations that require power and performance.
