Pallada Shipyard, which is part of Ukraine’s state-owned company Ukroboronprom, will build a floating dock for the Turkish Hydrodynamic Shipyard.
According to the news of Savunmasanayist, Pallada Shipyard under Ukroboronprom and Turkish Hydrodynamic Shipyard signed a contract for the construction and supply of composite floating dock with a capacity of 8,500 tons. According to the information obtained, the floating dock will be built using modern technology. The pontoon of the floating dock is made of sulfate-resistant Portland cement; towers will be made of shipbuilding steel.
This material combination is estimated to have a lifetime of more than 50 years to reduce maintenance costs. We will work with European and Turkish suppliers for the floating dock to be built in Ukraine.
Pallada has built 43 similar floating docks, 39 of which are operated in many different countries since 1968.
This is the first Ukrainian-Turkish agreement signed after the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal and the Minister of Commerce of the Republic of Turkey Mehmet Muş signed a free trade zone agreement with Ukraine in the presence of the Presidents of the two countries.
