Sailing School was established under Eker Sports Club, which is part of Eker Milk and Dairy Products, which is the main sponsor of TAYK – Eker Olympos Regatta races .
Yüce Kırbaç will be the sailing instructor of the club located on Arnavutköy Cape of Mudanya.
The school, which currently focuses only on optimistic education, is planned to include different classes in the future. Eker Milk and Dairy Products General Manager Ahmet Eker also attended the opening of the school, which will run in three-week programs until December 2024.
Expressing that they have been dreaming of opening such a school for a long time and that they are very happy to be able to realize this opening today, Eker said, “Our aim is to introduce more children to the sea and sailing, and perhaps to raise children who can participate in Championships in Türkiye and the World in the future.”
Mudanya Mayor Deniz Dalkılıç stated that they started to work as a municipality to carry out more marine activities in a district on the seaside, and said that the school; He underlined that it will contribute to training more individuals who will be interested in sea sports.
Iznik Municipality Sports Club sailing athletes and sailing instructor Mustafa Öncü trained after the opening and added color to the opening. The school will continue its activities with course programs to be opened throughout the year.
