Türkiye is preparing to establish another military shipyard after Aksaz Military Shipyard, which was opened yesterday. In addition to our Istanbul and Gölcük military shipyards, we will be able to perform all kinds of maintenance and repair of the guards of the Mavi Vatan (Blue Homeland) on our Aegean and Mediterranean coasts.”
In 2023, the Turkish Naval Forces Command rebuilt the docks and finger piers in Mersin Port to serve floating units in parallel with the intensified activities in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The infrastructure of the new docks and piers, which were made suitable for the use of all floating elements, was renewed to serve ships and submarines.
