Finally, on July 30, 2024, the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO), which came together with Piri Reis University and implemented the Kongsberg DP simulator, received sample certificate news this time.
TPAO was entitled to receive the Domestic Green Energy Certificate (YEK-G) for providing all of its electricity consumption for the first 6 months of 2024 from renewable energy sources.
In the statement made by TPAO, it was said, “We continue our efforts for energy transformation and reducing our carbon footprint for a sustainable environment.”
Ahmet Türkoğlu, CEO of Turkish Petroleum Corporation, emphasized the importance of the YEK-G certificate with the words, “There is something we can all do to make our world more livable.”
